Maybe there are 1000 players online but only 250 TR and 300 NC are active on the server.
So the rest are 450 Vanu characters. 50 NC and 200 Vanu are not allowed to play since they would outnumber the NC playercount.
Same number of players is one of the basics of online PvP.
Would you play Counterstrike 8 vs 4?
I guess you understand now.
Solutions:
- You join one of the other factions to have very short qeue time
- You make a new character on another server joining the most underpopulated faction
Imbalance between the faction is the grand history of PS2 and the devs never really got it solved. Since many players have left the game the whole thing has got out of control imho!
But with those 5-6 servers worldwide there are little chances for optimization.
You cant merge US and EU servers due to ping.
PS2 is stranded in a dead end right now...
I've playd for 7 years now and even with all the new stuff they introduced I think the game is in the worst condition ever!
Freelance can skip population MAX and push the numbers past that though, never see a queue in your life.
Because you're trying to join an area so saturated with players that it's "Full" and you have to wait for someone to leave to get in. It's 1000 people per continent and NEVER in the well over 300 hours I've played this game have I had to wait for a place to play for more than 2-3 minutes when an area literally just rolls over. And I've never bought premium once in my life. TR/NC player, Mostly TR.
It sounds like either you need to pick another continent or another faction.
Also, depending on what times and servers you play on, you either need to get ahead of the rush or play around it. Besides, 20 minutes is enough time to redeploy and do some combat while you're waiting to get moved over. You can still be on the waitlist while doing other things. That's a good time to check your gear, spend certs, look at what you want to work towards, check missions, ect.
Or in otherwords, they pretty much accounted for the freelancers by knocking a bit off of each faction in the first place?
Why not allow more players per team though? Why did they lower the number of players? I remember there being 5+ 96+ player battles all over a few years ago and now its maybe around 2 :/ Was it for technical reason or did Daybreak go full tard?
