VS thanks to no bullet drop and having no real downside do always work but rarely "shine".
No drop but above average accuracy and damages at all range mean you never completely useless
TR suffer from horrible spread patern and their bonuses aree gimmicky... big mag high ROF but long reload and lower damage per bullet is painfull . They are very CQC oriented... almost to a fault to be honest. plus the loing reload mean they have to rely more on other members to be around them to cover
Today it feels more balanced to me, although I still hate TR's vehicles.
But I have to admit that 75% of the time I play NS weapons instead of NC weapons now.
If the differences were too noticeable, one faction would dominate consistently and that's just not the case. I'll just think "I didn't deserve to win this encounter" slightly more often with NC than other factions.
I'm not sure what to think of the NS weapons. The secondaries seem much better than the primaries though there are interesting gimmicks for primaries.
Tr weapons dont dominate anything even in cqc, you get kicked in the balls by everything because they dont have the firerates or mag sizes to make a big difference compared to other faction equivalents guns on top of being harder to use with the recoil + speard pattern. Worst weapons but you make due.
In offense on a base enforcing close range like a Biofarm or some of the tighter bases I will go Battlegoose or MSW-R, tho id say with SPA the MSW-R is better.
Some people also like the slightly better control on the Orion due to the grip, I can understand that and after all a weapon is only so good if you can use it.
For defense/holding points Butcher, Butcher and Butcher, 150 Rounds on a Carv is good, the slightly better firerate is neglible in terms of ttk, but its free so why not.
When I don't know where my Squadlead will drop me, NS-15 all the way, this gun can do everything mediocore, so its never a bad bet, but also not "the best".
Or maybe the best in being always a solid choice.
There is also some pretty good ARs and Carbines, but id make a hilarious long list if id include weapons of every category here.
The best TR LMG I brought to battle so far was the T32 Bull - the only one that actually can hit targets on a reliable basis (even better than many TR carbines or assault rifles)
No worries, I didn't really mean for people to post a complete breakdown of all the weapons, I was just wondering if my analysis was correct and to have an idea of what weapons stand out.
Yeah there is not really a long range SMG in game.
The "long range" PDW falls short against most things on range, tho it is still a okish gun.
The other one is the Shuriken with HVA, A Grip and a extended magazine trying to nudge it towards longer range play, but your better of using that one like a traditional armistice.
