You earn Certs by playing the game. You must spend money to get DBC.
You can also Trial any weapon for 30 minutes a day for free. Just click "Unlock" then "Trial".
if i buy as engineer carabine "B" and i want to play light assault with carabine "B",
is that possible when i buy with certs or db?
and if i buy modification "C" for carabine "B" on engineer, will i have modification "C" on light assault as well when i buy with certs or db?
So a carbine got with certs can be used by any class that can use a carbine.
Any weapon you get with DB can be used by any character on your account that can use that gun.
A TR weapon got with DB can be used by any TR character you make, but not by any NC or VS characters. NS weapons got this way can be used by any faction on your account.
The above two points are also true for all vehicle weapons.
Except for ones got on the faction specific tanks and aircraft, vanguard, prowler and magruder and reaver, mosquito and scythe (respectively). Even NS guns got for one of these tanks/aircraft with DB can only be used on that factions tank or aircraft.
Weapon attachments can only be used on the gun you got them for no matter what you got them with. And can be used on that gun no matter what class is using the gun.
Medical Kits and Restoration Kits can be used by any class once got. But C4 and mines must be got separately, new, for each class that can get them.
If you want to test something out before getting it, go to the VR room.
Wapergate, the terminals in the middle of the main building, click it and the options is in that menu.
Once there you can try out anything in the game for free, just don't hit the "unlock" option because it will still count. You can try the weapons, attachments, suit options, grenades, vehicles and cosmetics. Basically, if it's in the game you can try it.
