The defalt. The Gauss Saw is less a LMG and more a full auto sniperrifle with a hundred round mag. It makes stuff dead and even when it doesn't it still a joy to pull the trigger on.
Because that's what matters most in this game, having fun. While you die.
Default LMG, the Gauss SAW? HVA unless it doesn't drop 2 tiers. IIRC it doesn't have a flash suppressor, a compensator isn't terrible but so long as your have a decent amount of mouse space you shouldn't need it. IIRC the grip has some weird interaction (adds HRT) with that gun in particular which makes short bursts extra important, but it's long range oriented anyway so it's still worth using. Also I'm too lazy to find a source on that so even if I'm remembering right it might have been updated.
Gauss SAW. 200 damage and a 100 round clip = 20,000 damage per magazine. The recoil is a bear, but it's great for learning to control your gun and teaching you fire discipline. But even more: look at the stats, particularly and ADS accuracy:
It has PERFECT first-shot accuracy. With High Velocity Ammo it has the muzzle velocity of a sniper rifle and the same perfect accuracy per bullet once you learn to tap-fire the trigger. It's insane.
Think of this thing as a battle rifle than can fire full auto.
Also, you CAN use it up close. Just put a 1x red dot sight on it, or leave the iron sights in place. It's also great for choke point control. Seriously, the thing can vomit 200-HP death bullets into a doorway for DAYS with that 100-round mag.
Just by the power of Cthulhu, fall back behind cover before you reload.
EM6 is basically a "lite" version of the Gauss SAW. EM1 is garbage - more controllable, but the damage output is just too low.
Remember, you're NC. You do two things: fire high damage bullets at low rate of fire, and shoot your teammates in the back by accident all day long.
You forgot to put quotes around "by accident"
