Launcher Blackscreen

So everything has been working fine up until now when this morning i turned on my PC as usual and went to boot up planetside. the launcher starts up but shows only a black box with the daybreak logo in the middle, i left it like this for an hour and it remained unchanged. i have tried;

turning off antivirus, turning of the LAN proxy server in internet settings (this has caused issues with the launcher for myself and others in the past), restarting the PC, deleting the launchpad.cache, and finally a complete reinstall.

i looked up the issue but i cant seem to find it anywhere else, or any up to date threads on it either. if anyone has anything else i can try it would be greatly appreciated! below is the issue with the launcher, if that helps

was about to find what was the issue myself . couldnt even get the launcher to boot up for me. finally got it and bam maintenance lol

Yep, I have a similar problem. The launcher never actually appears. I wish they'd posted some sort of maintenance notice, because I spent about forty five minutes verifying local content and double checking file pathing, thinking the issue was on my end.

Oh well, now I now. Time to go play Fractured Space.

Anyone have a guess how long maintenance takes? Can't seem to find anything about it on their site.

It was supposed to take 3 hours. But there is also no notice on the official forums about persistent downtime.

Went to the community screen in Steam. Over 1100 people currently in-game. I knew this had to be on my end. Disabled compatability mode of Launcher.exe. Rebooted comp. Great success.

Rightclick the exe in your installation folder, then select properties and go to compatibility.
