Then again, I'd say that long-range snipers (200m+) are typically in the league of their own, mostly countersniping or taking out stationary targets, thus being less useful, and I agree that most "action-packed" and noticeably effective "sniping" happens on around 100 to 200 meters, leaning more towards the 100-150m, true.
Right, now that's out of my system.
As said above stalker cloakers, which I am very fond of being one of, that do nothing in a fight but try to knife others are about as much help as infi's that do nothing but snipe at any random target they can see.
A stalker that wants to be of use it best when doing a mix of placing radar's (motion spotters), hacking terminals, picking of key targets (medic's and engi's mostly), making the act of taking back the point as big a pain as possible and otherwise being a giant pain in the enemys @$$ to the point their offen to busy trying to hunt you down to be of any use in the larger fight.
As for snipers, there's two main types. Those that just try to get kills, i.e. the bad ones. And those that spot everything and everyone that they can see as their shooting, while trying to make a point of shooting the medics and anyone else that looks to be doing the most good for the enemy. As a sniper you will offen be in a spot to have a good veiw of the battle, the better your veiw the more targets you can see. A good sniper will try to make it so the people on the ground can also see as many of the enemys on their map that the sniper can see from their nest. Some of which now have less health than when the sniper first saw them, depending on the skill of the sniper to head-shot vs body-shot.
I don't do a lot of CQC bolting so I can't say much here. But I do know that you need to know where the enemy is as much as you can so as to not get caught with your trousers down, which offen means heavy use of radar's, which in turn helps anyone else in the same area of the fight.
Then there's the SMG and scout users. The most obvious way they can help is much the same as above. Any more I can say on them (this is the type of infi I've played the most of my time in this game, mostly because for most of the time I've played stalker cloaks weren't a thing) would take another page of words to itself and I think I've added enough words to this for today as is.
Can't wait to unlock the throwing knife to add some silent ranged takedowns.
(SMGs and scout rifles are best)
Yeah, I'd rather get used to a Comissioner. Far more practical.
you'll be like this dude
