What do directives do?

What are directives for and which are the best ones to complete?

Directives are essentially achievements. You complete the task listed for each one and are awarded directive points (Does nothing but show you've completed directives) upon completing each one. Certain Directives have additional rewards for completion which you can find by looking through the in game list. Which ones are best to complete is up to you. I'd suggest looking through the rewards and see if any appeal to you. If there isn't anything you want don't worry about it. Most Will take a very long time to get things such as weapons for rewards.

EXAMPLE: For the TR if you get Auraxium medals with enough pistols you unlock the "Pistol Master" banner for your profile and "The President" a special customized version of the TX1 Repeater

If you are on VS the LMG directive is absolutely worth doing since you unlock Betelgeuse which is a very good weapon to have.

All the other directives are mostly for style and you'll unlock special shiny armors or lumifibers for your vehicle.

You need the aurax medal on 5 LMGs, don't matter which one.

For VS my suggestion would be: Orion, Pulsar LSW, NS15M, Polaris, Flare. Not necessarily in this order. I'd foget about SVA88 (a worse pulsar) and Ursa (because it's just bad).

Please notice that the new Naginata LMG does not count toward LMG directive but counts toward the special NSX directive.
