Dont waste your certs on reload speed.

The first level might be ok but i just wasted 1000 certs on the lighting tank and i dont even feel a diffrence.

I misread i thought each time they where giving me like 8% which seems like a fair amount for 400 certs... But it was actually 1% going from 7% to 8%....

Haiyaaa my worst buy in the game, they should be the last thing on earth you buy with the certs. wish i could get a refund. im an idiot.

At least less time spent reloading is more time spent shooting.
Good thing certs are like sea water, there's always more to get.

That said, I've always found that when a vehicle weapon has the options (a moot point for lightning tank weapons) between reload and extended mag, the latter is always the better option.

Reload speed is a must have on most vehicle weapons.

The exceptions would be some of the guns on the sunderer like the kobalt,basilisk,etc. Those guns benefit from a larger magazine.

And don't be foolish and max out the last rank of magazine size for 1000 certs just to get 3 extra rounds.

If both land there shots the one with the fully upgraded reload will win.

Reload speed is pretty good for single shot guns since it basically increasing your fire rate.
Its only a minor change since it would give more of an unfair advantage then it already does when fighting 1 on 1 with another tank.

Unless two tanks are parked point blank at each other then yes. But thats unlikely, skill is better than reload speed. And like i said, apart from the first 5% upgrade. It should be the last thing to upgrade given the price and effect. 1000 certs literally had no effect. Nothing.

If two players of equal skill fight the one with the fastest reload speed will have an advantage. The meta for lighting tanks used to be ap ammo but after CAI it changed to heat.

Yeah. Game has some hideously stupid and over-the-top cert cost vs benefit for certain things. I recommend looking things up in the wiki before buying into stuff.
