Out to 15 meters, I like the NS-Pilot better than any SMG
Although for Vanu smgs, I favor the Sirius. (I use it for engineer). Most fighting in this game happens in close quarters anyway, and it's a very good tool for that. The Canis is just fiddly.
Even on medics..
You like the spiker? I've literally never heard anything good about it.
Incidentally, how does the alternate firing mode work. The instructions are kind of vague.
It does fair better with 4 headshots at maximum damage range but the Eridani has more DPS and better accuracy. The Canis doesn't explicitly need unstable ammo. Even without it, it is overall more effective at longer range. If you want to go for headshots at 20m, the Eridani is better no question about it.
