Even subscription based games make you pay for name changes.
Last I checked this was a subscription game even if it can be played for free. But don't even try to justify the stupid price tag. Big games set the price to prevent thousands of players from changing frequently. PS2 set the price high because no one who knows the value of a dollar is stupid enough to bother.
make it funny or ironic
make it something that represents you as a individual
make it something that you know will stand out or become a name of legend or infamy.
then you wont have to buy a name change. honestly i'd like to see character transfers. i'll pay to have me and all my friends in my gaming group that dont want to afford it to get OFF connery...
Let me rephrase that then. Games that make you pay full retail price and a subscription to play, still charge for a name change.
You're complaining that in a game with 1000s of free to play players, a name change facility is a premium. Guess what, even smaller games set the price to prevent hundreds of players from changing frequently.
