Thoughts on ASP system?
I personally think this is going to be game breaking, and totally wreck class balance and how people play. It's going to be a balance issue because you can have two primaries, which totally eliminates pistols as an option (yes they said they were buffing pistols but why use a pistol when you can have two LMGs or an lmg and a shotgun??) Secondly, being able to know class weapons to predict the enemy in a firefight will be worse than useless. Say in a scenario, you're defending a base, the point is taken, and you hear the sound of a Lynx carbine and one of your allies goes down. You assume because the Lynx is a carbine, the guy on point MUST be a LA. You get on point, and it appears nobody's there, then you hear a cloaker uncloak behind you and light you up at 909 RPM at close range. WTF? Some carbines have underbarrel grenade launchers, we're just going to give that to the infiltrators?? The only solace I find in this is that you have to be BR 100, and have 10k certs or a membership, but many vets have all three of these. I think this system needs to be seriously re-evaluated, or taken off the table entirely.

well you can draw a pistol and shoot it faster than you could a shotgun or carbine or other primary weapon. a close second in draw speed would probably be a SMG.

my money was on hackers doing it. i owe someone some money.

doubt its gonna kill it, people thought the loot boxes was gonna kill battlefront 2 and hurt EA, but like always EA took a cannonball to the face and shrugged and made a few temp changes.

If it's overpowered it will nerfed like every other overpowered gun or vehicle in the game.

Infiltrators already have access to submachine guns that do as much damage as carbines at close range. They have automatic scout rifles, 1 hit kill sniper rifles and semi automatic scout rifles.

How many players are at BR 100 and above and how many will choose to participate in ASP. It's not like the participants will have 5 ASP points at the beginning. ASP points will accuired over time (think months).

CAI already drove alot of veteran vehicle players away from the game so there's less vet's than before. Maybe this will bring back veteran player's.

The time it takes for a person to equip another primary weapon (especially one with a forward grip) is greater than the time to equip a secondary.

Meh. This system should start from the get go at level 0. Every 25 levels ya get something of the players choice. Throttling players by making them haw to go through multiple grinds is just pointless and hurts the player base.
