It's private because my personal information is entirely unimportant to any given discussion. If i am a man, woman, artificial intelligence, alien consciousness or god is equally entirely immaterial to any given discussion.
But again, if you have reason to believe i am breaking the TOS, please contact Valve.
Yeah.. and i just told you in the previous reply what i am hiding and why.
I still say it never warned me about anything, I am talking about upgrading from windows vista a couple of months ago changing to a intel i7 CPU just recently and doing a complete fresh install of Planet Side 2 on a completely clean Operating System...
There was never any Pop-Up about battleye, I didn't accept an agreement for Battleye, only one for Planet Side 2 but never said anything about battleye being installed.
So here is what I did I completely removed and uninstalled PlanetSide2 from my system, as well as battleye and removed the service from my system, did a fresh install of Planet Side 2, and no agreement was ever shown to me other than the Planet Side 2 agreement not the Battleye one...
So I ran Ps2 played it a little bit quit the game down and installed "ARC Surivival Evolved again, and this game respected my privacy asking me if I wanted to install it for this app or game, in which cast I might as well accept and let it anyways it seems that other games are somewhat respecting privacy of users while some are not like Planet Side 2...
I am just looking for a Fix so hopefully "DBG" can resolve this issue, and at least notify users about Battleye Installation" (Battleye is not part of the game as the CSR tells me in a email / support ticket.)
(Unfortunately, Battleye is apart of the game, it is your decision to not play because of it.
We're sorry to see you go.
Regards,)
All I ask is DBG respect people and let people have the choice to install this or not instead of running the installer which is made by a 3rd party and being all malicious...
I would have likely been okay with running Battleye too and like its fine for this anti-cheat, but still I feel people should be respected...
(No I am not using any other steam accounts) (Nor have I been banned from PS2) I just strongly believe people deserve to be respected when it comes to apps, or games installing 3rd party software.
(Here is what I see when installing Planet Side 2)
https://gyazo.com/3bc49f3a1c21a7eb572ba2a61e890b13
I do not see a battleye agreement, and I read this EULA it only applies to Planet Side 2 and DBG not Battleye...
https://gyazo.com/f8d9c33e36ba9e719296b0d9c06b39cc Here is where I am trying to get DBG to at least fix the issue, but they apparently do not understand me );...
** I would be happy if a moderator was actually around to forward this complaint to the right department of DBG, and or Legal Team** So they may properly fix the problem with not letting people know first would be great, and I am not sure what happened ( I also installed the game from Planetside2.com rather than through steam if that may have made a difference?)
Unfortunately there is not. Your best chance at this would be to take it to reddit and hope Wrel or RadarX sees it.
Sony also has nothing to do with any of this and never has, Daybreak were hardly Sony when they were SOE.
Thanks would is "Hope Wrel" on Reddit as well, someone told me outside from a clan to send a message to RadarX on reddit I actually did that explained to them the full details of what was going on and asked them to fix it...
Actually with Windows 10 It didn't require me to run as administator for some reason when Installing Battleye with ARC Survival Evolved, or Planetside2, the only difference is that with ARC it asked me, and with PlanetSide2 it didn't ask me I declined the agreement with ARC so I did not previously install it.
Perhaps when it was first introduced, but it seems as if changes were made to the game itself which might have removed the agreement and might no longer ask, and it is 3rd party.
Not True, if I wanted to cheat a game I could go into full details about how easy it is to do, and keep coming back even with a (GUID Ban), but point is I am rather actually conerned about my Privacy, than Cheating a online game which serves no purpose and takes the fun out of it ( All I ask is that Game Companies) such as (Day Break) (Nexon) Etc. All start respecting a users privacy and giving a user a chance to not install the game show us the agreement to the third party anti-cheat, don't just go installing that crap on our computers. (Most basic Cheats Battleye & Punk Buster likely stop) this is because Cheat Developers and I know of plenty of them Profit off money, and then just get everyone banned because it gets cracked by the Anti Cheat Developers like Battleye which is the funny part because Actual Hackers, and Cheaters who are serious, keep their cheating and hacking private among friends...
( I know this one is a bit off topic here but still :3.)
Its also funny that Companies Like Nexon, actually Install "XingCode3" on my cellphone too without my permision (Reported it to Google) because it is clear violation of the Google App Policy, but the problem is Google likely makes so much money from the Pay 2 win people that they don't care unless someone actually sues them, But its true, XingCode3 is installed, and its a violation of the App Developer policy, not only this bug XingCode3 did damage to my phone ruined the entire SD card, and Modified files without my permission...
https://play.google.com/about/privacy-security/malicious-behavior/
Its Interesting to see that Google allows things like this lol...
. Apps that install other apps on a device without the user’s prior consent.
. Apps designed to secretly collect device usage, such as commercial spyware apps.
. Apps must not hide or cloak tracking behavior or attempt to mislead users about such functionality.
Present users with a persistent notification and unique icon that clearly identifies the app.
And a lot of people wonder why they get their computers hacked, accounts stolen, or sensitive information leaked, Even if you have your entire computer secure, you have allowed one of these anti-cheat apps, perhaps not battleye it seems rather safe on that one, but other apps or software to be downloaded, which can compromise private information even open back doors if a person wanted to exploit it.
**Although there should be Laws in the United States to prevent game companies from doing this, I got no problem with Anti-Cheats, just make everyone aware and show the third party agreement before its installed.**
If you were unaware of BattlEye being installed then its your own fault, the only reason PlanetSide 2 wouldn't have asked you if it was okay to install is if you already had it installed.
It wasn't installed prior to Planetside 2 installing it, also this is where you are wrong...
After Planet Side 2 installed Batlleye, I installed ARC again on my pc, and it asked me if I wanted to install it still...
If you look under "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\BattlEye" you will see that every game you install has to install a file here for "Battleye" to work asking permissions, also there is a command to delete "Battleye from what the developers of battleye told me.
"sc delete BEService" In the command prompt...
However when I tested this and fully removed both Battleye from my system, and Planetside 2 and did a fresh install I was not asked anything either the second time I tried it.
I am just saying that "ARC" respects privacy, and Planet Side 2 does not.
https://gyazo.com/718f4e0db88132fe52fc653c3acd3a38
So Basically if this were true that a game wouldn't ask again if it was already installed, then why after Planet Side 2 installed it did it ask when I ran "ARC" for the first time the other day? Its because the developers of Battleye intended for it to always ask consent and respect peoples privacy I think but certain companies like DBG have bypassed that on their games.
Hopefully the moderator or developer I contacted on Reddit will fix it.
I disagree. Battleye is one of the more invasive solutions to this. Of course also one of the more successful ones, due to how invasive it is. That however doesn't mean that only people wanting to cheat should be concerned about invasive software being installed on their system.
It is true that it was someone that sells cheat programs brought attention to this fact on reddit, but that is pretty much like suggesting someone's crime is invalid because only a criminal reported it.
The concerns about battleye are largely overblown, but you really can't fault people for wanting to be informed about 3rd Party Programs, especially if they are as invasive as Battleye. The Battleye representatives also didn't do anything to dispel the mistrust other than basically say "yes, everything leveled at us is true, but we won't do it".
Ultimately anyone can decide if they want to play Planetside 2 or not, but i don't believe that concerns about programs embedding itself with some of the highest priorities into your system is only something you should be concerned about if you want to cheat.
Its basically like using unencrypted email in this day and age. You can do it, but you can be certain that most likely one or more government agencies will be making copies of them. Suggesting that only criminals should be concerned with goes a little far, i think.
We have enough evidence of several Intelligence Services leveraging companies for built in backdoors and whatnot into their systems. And while i wouldn't be worried about the NSA leveraging Battleye into helping them (See: Prism[en.wikipedia.org] ), the BND isn't much better.
Now of course, saying that always gets the "if you got nothing to hide" response, but i don't think that all of this is not something to concern yourself over.
If its a deal breaker to use Google, Microsoft or Battleye because of the potential of people using build in backdoors or not, is up to the individual, but it certainly nothing you shouldn't concern yourself with.

Their Terms OF Service which I read this part they quoted to me for like the 5th time only applies to Day Break Games, and me giving them consent to monitor right, not a the 3rd party which is the maker of Battleye because they have their own privacy policy which I didn't agree to? https://www.battleye.com/privacy-policy/
So who is right here O.o I am responding to this ticket for sure :3.
At the end of the day, if you feel you don't agree with the TOS, then all I can say is don't install and or play the game. Good luck with what ever you end up doing. GG
Well Thanks I do agree with you personally I don't think "Battleye" is a big deal because I can play with it just fine, I am however really upset with their company doing this, if they don't fix it I would really hate to contact every "Antivirus Maker I know" and try to get the game (Red Flagged) for being a security risk, as well as filing a comaint with the Authorities for violating my privacy, even making a video of the installation process after removing the game and Battleye again to prove it ot them should work :3.
Here is what they sent me that I agreed to, but I did not agree to their 3rd party Battleye collecting or storing any type of information?
http://imgur.com/a/cND1G
Could you tell me if I am wrong here because they sent me this in my support ticket, I agree to DBG, but not their third party collecting and storing information :3?
https://www.battleye.com/privacy-policy/
This is battleyes privacy policy? I was not required to agree to this, and I don't think even Day Break Games understands what I am trying to say here );...
I am not sure why it didn't show the first time and the second time I removed and reinstalled to test it, Glad to see it is showing now <3...
