Green flickering screen (making game literaly unplayable)
i have the same issues when playing jsut casue 2 and civ v on full screen.

the screen shows me the game like it should but there is no volume and the screen is covered in green lines then it goes black and slowly flickers back and forth. i have no clue how to fix this but if someone helps me with this i would be very greatfull as it would fix 3 games and maybe more in the future.

I had this problem when my computer crashed while my plantside 2 client was updating. My files were corrupted or something around those lines. I just uninstalled it and the green flickering screen was gone and everything went back to normal. Hope this helps you and sorry if it doesn't.

that... sounds like a graphics card issue.

record this if you havnt fixed it yet if possible.

1oopsi im going to try that now becasue when i played jsut cause 2 the game was fine until i reinstalled it. so i might try to re install or verify game files

i highly doubt its a graphics card issue because its a new card, this issue only happens with relitevly old-ish games and the only real error i had is its shadow play error making black screen on my games

ps the graphics card is a gtx1070 (msi)

i was just playing arma 3 with max graphics no errors

actually... could it by any chance be the plug between the monitor and the pc? i have a pretty bad one right now i can upgrade it right now if i want, i just have to find the hdmi cable.

also to narrow the issue further, with civ v it works fullscreen with dx9 but not dx11

yeah if the cable is lose or damaged it could cause these artifacts as well. but they will usually be scattered everywhere.

for the DX11, i'd say go out and get a DX11 redistributable from microsofts website and reinstall that. might fix issues with some of the games if your DX11 install got borked.

You were getting screen tearing. Where your graphics card refresh is out of sync with monitor refresh
