It better to use as a team then to solo use it and can you explain your question more?

Basically how do i use this thing? i know it has splash damage but thats about it, how to use it in team combat?

I think it's best used in clumps of enemies in big fights, you can turn a corner and dom dom dom dom and you have netted 15 kills haha.

It's best used to suppress enemies as its splash damage can damage enemies behind cover like boxes or doorways. So basically spam where the enemies are. http://planetside.wikia.com/wiki/Lasher_X2

Using it to shot enemies directly will work but isn't its strong suit. That's best done with another lmg.

You can shoot it on the floor next to an enemy postition and kill them and force them to move with the splash damafw

Get two people with lasher aimed at a door. Both of you fire at said door. Anyone who goes through or near said door dies. Thats how you use a lasher.

So using this weapon for skirmish is a no go eh?
chaosbringer42 Mar 16, 2017 @ 8:34pm
Its a bit too inaccurate and weak for a regular fight, maybe if you aimed at an enemy sundy thats deployed you might get a couple kills before dying.

Shame, aside from providing good support in a team fire fight it does not bring much; sorta feels like TR and NC have the better heavy weapons.

NC...yes. TR is in the same bind VS is in the way of heavy weapons, we may as well use the NS machine gun, because our "special" ones are too iffy in most cases.

Basically the Lasher is mean't to act as an Area of Denial weapon, so its mostly used to to keep people from pushing into buildings or holding a Point/Generator room.

from a distance you spam the doorways and kill everyone inside with splash damage

hence the term Lasher Spam

Th default LMG Orion is all you need , It has highly controllable recoil and the most ads strafing speed Lmgs has to offer (x0.75 iirc ) . Its a beast of a gun that even veterens return back to after auraxiuming others.

Oh and Lasher does not have to be activated or anything , The bullets (laser balls) does damage to enemies who are near to it even if its not a direct hit . So people tend to direct fire towards doorways in big fights . Its a good suppressing weapon and compliments a good squad I guess , but I dont think you will get much kills as most people wont run into the line of fire especially as its the lasher . So Lasher is at best a secondary weapon , something you pick after spending hours in game and if you are looking for an interesting change of pace
