May or may not be the solution for you, but it's worth a shot. The program looks at an EXE and sees what files are used to run it, such as ".DLL" files. Most can be ignored, but if you see directX files in the red, then that's definitely the problem.
If you're curious, I'd suggest googling "planetside 2 dependency walker", and you'll likely come across the old topics about it.
What happened in the last 2 years that made this game so hard to launch I wonder?
But I BOUGHT Stellaris instead of playing this game so...I guess I'll go spent my time there since I can't get Planetside 2 to work. BTW, Planetside 2 is one of my favorite games of all time. Right up there with Warthunder, the Total War Series, Halo/Halo 2 and the Zelda Series.
