I found Reaper DMR much more reliable than Tross. Tross have a slower RoF and is more inaccurate so, most often than not, you'll waste them 6 extra bullets per mag and end up with a weapon with lower TTK and longer reload time.
Reaper DMR is actually my favourite assault rifle in the game and I auraxed virtually every assault rifle on every faction, some multiple times.
If you can aim, Reaper DMR is a perfect choice for mid-long ranges and you can make it work even in closer fights. Just avoid hip-fire with it when you can.
I've never recieved so many tells and yells from people willing to share the pain or give words of comfort after having dunked me hard because I was using that garbage.
NS11 on the other hand is a solid weapon, extremely accurate, extremely adaptable thanks to a wide variety of attachments. Its problem is the low TTK requiring you to go for headshots.
As NC you have far better alternatives for mid-long ranges than NS11, Reaper DMR being king among them. Reaper DMR is the only weapon along with Gauss SAW that have PERFECT accuracy on the first shot, meaning you'll always shoot EXACTLY where you are aiming with your first bullet. No other weapons except sniper rifles share the same trait.
On the other hand with Reaper you'll suffer a bit more in CQC fights where NS11 is kind of viable although inferior to other weapons such as Carnage or GR22
i guess i flocked to the Yumi because i mainly play TR, all our weapons feel like the Yumi to me anyway.
How is it? Most TR weapons are on the totally opposite spectrum than the Yumi: full auto, high RoF, high recoil, excellent for close range combat, lacking in mid-range stopping power and accuracy.
The only one that vaguely resemble Yumi is the SABR which is a 2-shots burst gun good for mid-ranges. But even then it doesn't share the defining trait (or downside) of Yumi which is the charging up mechanism.
When I was a more inexperienced player I too went the NS road on TR and used the NS11 for a great deal of my playtime because I felt TR missed a truly good mid-range Assault Rifle. It's still somewhat true, but when I finally learned to manage my bursts I discovered that Cycler TR1 is a solid mid-range weapon as well as a solid CQC option, and that TORQ share a similar behavior (even if used differently).
That said, NS11 + HVA is still my to-go option for mid-long range fights on TR. That gun is just too good in the right hands.

If I were NC though, I'd pick Reaper over NS11 any day.
