I LOVED Runner 2. Runner 1, which I am currently playing, is alright (not too great, but not too shabby either). Any chance of a Runner 3?

After beating the game, it says "to be continued". Does it imply a Runner 3?

Can someone explain how checkpoints work. Sometimes when I die after passing a checkpoint I will still go back to the start of the level instead of the checkpoint. Other times I go to the checkpoint. I can't figure out why I don't just always start back at the checkpoint....
