just a rant i suppose.

sheva won't shoot whats attacking her , or she will only use her handgun (which i have since promptly taken away from her) When it comes to those dogs early in the game, she flat out refused to attack them. Instead, getting chewed on and dying on my hands about 5 times in a row. I finally just gave her the shotgun and of course, she doesn't even use it.

she grabs herbs before i can, and instead of letting me combine with the red, she wastes it.

she can't (or won't) move away from danger. some dynamite thrown near her vicinity, and she just stands there and dies.

This last one made me laugh though.

Some ammo was on the ground, but it was in the water (that water that's only ankle high)
and when i tell her to pick it up, "You can't be serious". So i pick it up, and wipe off the slime for her, and just give it to her. Girl won't touch ammo if its slightly gross.

i don't deny it's dumb as ♥♥♥♥ (to the point of shooting a friend of mine with the the rocket to save him) but it's not as bad as the internet says it is if you play it right

They didn't revamp the AI in any way, they just added a god mode AI with infinite ammo and infinite HP in RE6 and RER so you no longer have to care about your partner, that's not an improvement, that's the cheapest way to make people think they solved the problem when they actually didn't.

Nobody is saying the AI is awesome, but let's not exaggerate and look at everything in black and white, the AI has its dumbness and flaws like in virtually any game and AI will never be as smart as a human player will do, but if you know how to deal with it the game is far from being unbeatable.

give the ai a shot gun it will most of the time shoot only near you

That's a straw man because we have already acknowledged that the game is beatable. It's just made harder than it should be if your AI didn't actively try at times to sabotage your efforts rather than helping.

AI Sheva is not bad, good. I am beat campaign of RE5 on veteran easy without problems. Just somebody so casual player;) But on Pro Ai's reaction not good. Better play with human player on max difficult

The thing about the internet is that out stupid posts are here to stay for ever, so better think twice before going full nutjob.
I was replaying re5 after years looking up how others dealt with the brain dead ai and here there was, an insane ramble defending the second worst game in the series, being outdone only by the trainwreck that re6 was.
After RE2 remake from this year i even more strongly realize how far the series has fallen with RE5.

I will never understand why some people are mentally unable to accept flaws in entertaiment products and will atatck others that point them out, i love hl1 to death and even i know its balance is awful and hitscan enemies make my blood boil.

RE5 forced co-op sucks as much today as it did back then.
