Resident Evil 5

Are you guys able to use the Ultimate Trainer?
I tried to install the trainer and its patches on a fresh install of RE5 GE, however whenever I try to run the trainer the game always crashes. The trainer seems to recognize the game version though.
I am aware that Capcom updated the game recently and I also tried to do a rollback in case the trainer didn't work with the new version of the .exe but the result is still the same.
I would be really thankful if you could help me with this. c:

Note: I use a x64 Windows 10.

Yes, I do. Does that make the game crash?

Technically yes. If you're alt+tabbing out of the fullscreen...then it will crash. It's bad PC port handling on Capcom's part. You have to play windowed if you're using the trainer so that it doesn't crash when you alt+tab.

The trainer is shaky at best. I had much larger success with CheatEngine.

"shaky at best"? No it's not. You must be missing a patch. You can't do much with Cheat Engine other than simple freeze value quantity cheats.

Huh? CE supports LUA, plenty of tables use quite elaborate scripts. Heck, many trainers nowadays are just CE tables compiled into an executable.

I tried to run it in windowed mode and when I use the trainer it still crashes. Thanks anyway.
What a shame, the old trainer for GFWL worked flawlessly.

Is it possible to swap the character models in CE just like the trainer in question?

Wilsonso trainer and the Gold trainer from Raz0r and Dante are far from "normal trainers". The ladder is continuously being upgraded by Raz0r with new stuff.

Yes, but now it seems to work fine. I wonder if the OP installed the Core patch before running the trainer...?

I'm surprised I didn't ask that.....I just kept assuming it's one of those immediate crashes when you Alt+Tab out.

Yea I did install the core patches. I did it on a fresh install of the game too.
The trainer seems to recognize the game version but the game itself refuses to work once the trainer is active.

I just realized that instead of playing in windowed mode......you can play in fullscreen mode and use ALT + ENTER instead of ALT + TAB to switch the game to windowed mode on the fly. You can switch back to Fullscreen with the same keyboard combo and the game won't crash.
