Resident Evil 5
Some questions about modding, trainer and VAC
It's been awhile since RE5 moved to steam, I was happy to see this happening because the game has come to my favorite platform!
But here comes another concern: will modding get me VAC banned?

Although seeing many players/modders play mods on current steam version, I have not yet seen anyone say that it is VAC-free to mod this game.
And yes there's no VAC tag on store page, but other games that have no VAC tag are still have risk of getting VAC banned if someone use mod to take unfair advantage.

What if I go download Original GFWL version from dev's release and do mod stuff? Can I guarantee NOT get VAC banned?

I hope I can clear my concerns on VAC issues once and for all and swap character in main story without risking my account got banned! THX

Yes, you could still got banned on non-VAC secured games. And I'm wondering if RE5 is one of them.

Yes,but you get GAME banned, and EVERY single game (that also has some kind of online mode) has this feature,so YES you COULD get banned, but since it's a coop game i doubt you will. I know for a fact that i cheated myself some money so i can buy the last upgrade for my mag and never got banned.

tl;dr
YOU CAN
you probably won't

get banned

I've modded this game online for a very long time now. I've used more basic save mods and trainers to give me God mode online. I cannot say this with 100% certainty, but you'll probably never get VAC'd from this game whatsoever. However, if you do use any trainers, I suggest you do a full system restart before playing a VAC-protected game because it's process data is still in the memory and can be detected.

As i have previously said

it is impossible to get a Vac ban on this game.

There's no possible way to get a VAC ban on RE5, considering that Resident Evil doesn't use the Valve Anti-Cheat system in their servers.
Game Bans are possible, though.

Thx for your comments!
Now I think its ok to use trainer or mods to play online co-op games with friends like playing other characters in main story. As long as none will got VAC banned.

Game bans only occur in PvP games, and even then, mostly the "competitive" ones (if you can call CoD 'competitive'). You can pretty much mod yourself to be a flying immortal archangel of death with a rapid-fire infinite rocket launcher and nobody would care, even if you made 2 billion in mercenaries score. Capcom is a lot more sensitive to player data uploaded to residentevil.net than what happens on Steam itself. ANd RE5 is not an re.net game.

cheat engine is detectable actually?

You can't get vac banned since there is no valve anti cheat protection for this game

However you can get "game banned" which is kind of the same thing as a vac ban but for that capcom manually has to ban you for that.

BUT IS THE FCKNG CHEAT ENGINE DETECTABLE?

"No VAC bans with this game or any other bans either."
