Crashed when generating a world the first time, then it crashed again and made my resolution 640x480 when I tried again.

Had to restart on the third try because at 18% my screen went black and I couldn't get it back.

Bought a rocket launcher, filled it with rockets, raided the mayor's building, got the hat,
didnt get quest completion and couldn't use the podium

Did exactly the same. The podium doesn't detect the hat. Resistance leader also doesn't acknowledge it. Honestly I'm surprised mayor is already in the game. It took nearly all of SOR 1 Early Access to add him.

First off, what a wonderful surprise to wake up to this morning. I'm not even annoyed by a delay. SoR has definitely been my go to quick session game for years and things are headed in a good direction with 2. The characters are nicely designed, I love the variety of objects and potential interactions. I did not expect to the chickens to ♥♥♥♥ me up! I should have hehe. Crafting and house building is super simple.

However driving controls suck. Like really bad. I'm not sure what the technical limitations are, but the way the vehicles reset their orientation, excessively drift, and how quickly the camera zooms in and out, nothing about it is intuitive or enjoyable. Maybe it's just something that needs to be gotten used to, but I don't think so. Even something approaching Project Zomboid's janky vehicle controls would be an improvement.

I noticed that floors switch to stone when you leave your house zone.

I'll continue to look for bugs and when it is released, I'll buy it the first day.

Same thing happened with me. I raided the place at night with stealth and a rusty axe. Killed the mayor, destroyed his fishbowl, ransacked the kitchen, tore up the sofa etc and put on his hat. Just kept saying that I needed to wear it to make the speech despite already having the item equipped.

Made a soldier, stabbed a chicken, immediate and frantic battle broke out with a platoon of chickens which involved the final one being ran down by a an ally soldier in a jeep who was just passing by... 10/10

Also I am absolutely loving just exploring the city, it feels really alive!

Pretty fun first play as a cop. Some felt familiar but slower pace and much bigger scale.

I got the mayor's hat but it wouldn't let me make the speech. bug?

Yes I will concur, There are two factions who want me to do something about the Mayor. That thing has been done and I have his hat. But no one seems to acknowledge my harrowing deeds.

There's an alternative driving control scheme, have you tried it?

yes sir. Tank is what I've chosen. Do other vehicles handle differently? maybe that first car is supposed to have bad handling?
