Any news about the release date ?

Everything is in the title, on steam they talk about the 4th quarter of this year, but honesty there is no many day left before we past to the next year.

There is some problem about making the game ? Has a new date been announced ?

You guys have got to amend the release date at this point

There's a month left y'all. I'm not a game designer, but I have the overwhelming impression that by now you should have a sense of whether Q4 2024 is actually possible. If it is, you should feel comfortable enough providing a proper release date at the end of the month. If it's not, please make that clear as soon as possible. It's obviously a bummer when this keeps being delayed, but the only thing that would be worse than more delays is those same delays consistently happening last minute enough to get your hopes up. Please just give us something to go off of. Even if you push the date back to TBA, no information is better than unreliable information imho.

Ya at this point it is starting to become ridiculous and doesn't shine well on the dev. How many times has this game been delayed? Gotta be at least 3 or 4 now. Obviously it should be released in a playable state but after so many last minute delays it starts to get old.

Actually 2, one in August and one in October. My stance right now is no more dates til it's a definite thing.

Then like OP said make it "TBA" or "2025"... it's still listed as coming out Q4 so I'm sure many people are still thinking it will. If yall are still unsure of a time by this date it's misleading to leave it.

The community manager, Antishyr, said directly on Discord (in a message that is now buried in the SOR2 chat channel rather than being properly announced) that he estimates the demo's co-op update won't arrive until 2025. As posted here, Matt says the early access launch will be ready when it's ready, which is good enough of an update for me, but I don't understand leaving Q4 on Steam when they seemingly don't have any hope in it. It's the first place most people are going to go for information and they'll immediately be met with the date and assume they're getting it this month. I have a lot of faith in Matt and the game itself, but the marketing side has been really bad lately. Lots of people have asked about the Q4 Steam date on these forums and on Discord and it always gets avoided and has remained on the page, so I doubt anything is going to come of bringing it up again but it's not cool at all for the publisher to do this. I can handle the delays, this is a huge game, but having a release period on the page when it's clear they know it's not happening is not a good look. It's been there since the demo/delay announcement, so at this point it looks like they're opting to remove it last minute which will just cause more disappointment for the people that were misled by it. I imagine it won't be that much longer of a wait beyond Q4 2024 but I still don't understand leaving inaccurate information up when Matt says there is no release date as of now.

Yeah it's obviously not Q4 2024, please just change it to TBA or 2025.

I don't always have rules... But when I do, I just completely disregard them immediately and do whatever I like.

When I learned that the release date is actually just the beginning of early access, I lost all interest in this game. Imagine waiting for an early access game. That could never be me. When the game finally does launch, all you will ever do is wait, as dates are missed again and content is slowly added into the game. It's just too much waiting. Who thought this is a good idea?

To be honest I don't think I was even aware of the date listed on Steam until I started seeing these threads, as I generally don't mess with the Steam page. By that point, I felt like making more modifications to the Steam page would just fuel more speculation.

The only thing you should trust in regards to dates is "there are no dates until I say there's a date". And as per my stance over the past couple months, I'm not going to be announcing a date until I'm 100% certain of it.

However, I will tell you that there's a new demo update, devlog, and full roadmap coming before end of year that will address concerns and answer a lot of questions people might have about the game's planned design.

For me, this sounds like "not 2024" XD
