how to actually upgrade second characteristic

I've unlock all party members second characteristic but is still wondering on how to upgrade it even further, cause everytime their activity pops-up, it always says that they can't get any more skill

do i just keep doing it, and after a few time it'll just increase just like social link?

Every party member has two dorm hangout activities you can do (e.g. Yukari has cooking & watching DVDs), and once you've done each one 3x, you'll unlock/enhance their Combat Characteristic.

No, if you've done DVDs with Yukari 3 times, you'll have to do cooking with her 3 times, and vice versa.
