Isn't losing considerable progress due to lack of saving a rite of passage for us gamers? I am fairly certain that all gamers have learned the importance of saving progress regularly and the consequences for not doing so the hard way before. I know this Hee-Ho sure has.

Not happening. Skill issue. As old classic adventure games of the mid to late 1980s into the mid 1990s has taught me save early save often.

you should use teleporter, there are plenty and should usually not have to do more than 5 floors witouth one if you explore thoroughly.

How is it taking you 2 hours to climb under 10 floors? Each floor has like 3-5 encounters which can be skipped too. You might get a monad door once in a while, but they aren't necessary either if your party is low on resources.
