How long does it take to get academics from 2 to 3 at the fastest?
as in as you're heading into exams and can do study groups to help? i'm wondering if its even still possible for me to hit it. I'm on the second day of golden week and just got to 2. its probably not possible any more i assume

If you're only just now hitting rank 2 in golden week, you're not gonna hit level 3 in time for the exams, but the group study sessions do give you a pretty big boost (especially the last one before the exam when everyone in the dorm is studying together) so it's a good idea to go for them so you can get to level 4 by the time the finals roll around.

I'm not intimately enough acquainted with the calendar and leveling of this game, so I can't tell you 100% if you'll make it.
But I realized I had to reach rank 3 around the same time as you and I literally made it on the last possible occasion before the exams.

What you can do is basically eat at Wakatsu Restaurant every afternoon and evening. This will give you 4 points in academics per day (2 points per meal) for a really low price.
As Douota said, whenever you're given the opportunity to study with your roommates, go for it. It will also give you 2 points in academics per studying session, but for free.
Also, of course, don't go into Tartarus, don't go to work, etc.

I don't remember if you can already use the dorm's PC at that point in the game, but if you can, you could also buy learning software which will also net you +2 in academics, but it's rather expensive.

Basically echoing the above. Academics is the most demanding social stat. I didn't feel comfortable really leaving it to more organically develop until I finally got to level 5, and with never fully neglecting it, that journey still took me into July, where near the end of September just accepting academic experience from byproducts of other stuff I still have no idea how close to level 6 I am, while I barely focused on courage and charm and they easily capped out.

arcade is the faster way to get charisma, courage and academics
why you only get 2 notes when perform arcade ? a lot people think they are not truly accurate ( bug or hidden idk ) here refrence:

Arcade is just rough to justify with the rather limited income you get from the first few blocks of Tartarus balanced against equipment needs for a growing team. I really can't recommend pushing courage or charm all that hard in particular either, while the games cycle so the academics one often won't even be available.

for early game you don't need buy equipment since you can get better equipment when you explore tartarus and "later" doing quest from eliz

Eh, I think that's firmly in the camp of how comfortable you feel with things as an individual player. This is my first Persona game for example, and taking unnecessary risk just to feasibly min max social stats that don't even need to actually be maxed for several months feels silly to me. You can take more simple, cheaper routes to improving academics to get up to level 4 without much trouble. It's only level 5 and 6 where you may actually want to hunker down and start burning cash with reckless abandon, but by then cash flow should be absurdly healthy if you're getting there around the end of July like I did.

hey just felt like mentioning you were wrong about this. I started focusing academics from the third day of golden week and was still about to hit 3 right before the study groups even started

Oh, nice. Good work.

You get more academic points in the arcade and doing the SEES study sesions, but you don't need level 3 unless you want the extra reward, level 2 is enough to get Mitsuru's rewards.

Is it faster to level social skills in remake than original? Feels like it is, or maybe I just didn't know what I was doing in '07.
