What's the point of the secret menus?

It seems all the meals you buy at the restaurants give the same amount, +2 to a single stat, even if you need 3 charm or have to past the burger challenge to unlock them.
They cost 200 to 500 more yen, only appear on certain days, but grant no extra bonus whatsoever?

I know this is way too late, but in case anybody else sees this: apparently the notes aren't one to one with how much your social stats go up. The notes you get from each meal may look the same, but the more expensive ones actually give you slightly more points to your stat. I'm not sure why they felt the need to obfuscate this, but it does actually help to go for the more expensive ones when you can.

I eventually got some help on Reddit, the notes are a range, 2 notes is like 2-4 points, 3 notes if 5-7 points or something. So the pricier ones give 1 or 2 more points towards progress. Basically 3+ instead of 3.
I hate that they hide those values though.

The in-game note values are 1 note for 1~2 points, 2 notes for 3~4 points, and 3 notes for 5+ points. Most activities range from +1 to +4, with a select few giving +5. This can be further increased by acquiring the Temperance Tarot from Shuffle Time to hit the +7 cap for any single Social Stat during an activity.
