Unable to connect to login server

I downloaded MapleStory two days ago, and redownloaded it just last night, and I keep getting the same error. I've done everything listed here.

> There is no current maintenance (I've stalked the MapleStory website obsessively for a few days now)
> The server is up
> I'm within the GMS region
> I've turned off my firewall and anti-virus (even uninstalled) and relaunched the game. Didn't work.
> I run on Windows 7, so I don't have Loopback. Can't disable it if I don't have it right?
> I've reset my Winsock catalog and flushed my DNS cache successfully before rebooting my computer.

After doing all of this, I deleted the entire MapleStory folder from my computer, including HackShield, Pando Media Booster, the installer, etc, before going to maplestory.nexon.net and re-downloading the entire game all over again. Got the same error so i tried all thse steps again. None of which have worked so far.

A lot of people are having problems since the last patch and rollback. I can sortve log on via firefox after installing maplestory again via the website download, but its super laggy and crashes ALL THE TIME. Like, often no message just WHOOP WERE YOU PLAYING SORRY GAME IS CLOSED NOW. Its a serious problem affecting a lot of people. There's dozens of posts on both the maple forums and basilmarket. Nexon fricking get your ♥♥♥♥ together already it's been like eight years.

im having the same problem and i also tried everyone solution possible that is out there on the internet... Nexon better fix this or they will lose so many of their players or soon to be players

I fixed it yesterday just download the game again manually.
http://maplestory.nexon.net/news/news/current/00FwK get all the parts put it all in a empty folder and install it simple. Its just downlaoding the game and launching it from steam they have to fix. its all guds
