Character Gone?

Alright, I need help here. My character BoyDancing on Windia is literally gone from my account. And all of a sudden servers that didnt have the name before are now taken. Except for Chaos. What should i do? My character isnt in the rankings anymore except for the BoyDancing i have in Chaos. Maybe someone hacked and took the name? Who knows... i've submitted a Ticket to Nexon but i would appreciate any other help i could get. Thx.

As far as I know, if you haven't deleted your character, and you are certain that a hacker did not delete it (hackers tend to just take all of the rare, valuable items and most of ur mesos, but not delete characters) then the character name would still be in the rankings, without a picture. When a character is still in the rankings, even if it doesn't show, then the name is still taken.

This case does seem unusual, but I believe that, if it is not your only character in the world, then a hacker has deleted it. Also, when you make a new character with the exact same name, that new character takes on the picture and status of the name in the Global MapleStory rankings.
Past this, I don't know how to help you/inform you better any further.

Yeah, I understand the last part. But the thing is the name is apparently still taken, yet now when i search for my character he doesnt come up...

When a character is in the rankings, then that name is unavailable to all the rest of the worlds, regardless if it is in one world or another. To make it available, if you have not already, just delete the current BoyDancing that you have now and recreate it in the designated world of choice.

Could it be possible that you deleted BoyDancing instead of a different character that you had meant to delete?

The know about that BoyDancing, he's only lv10 because i havent really played on him. Yes, i deleted BoyDancing on windia, and created another under the same name but this time he was a thief.

Shortly after, i deleted him again. When i woke up i logged into maple to create a new explorer. but BoyDancing was no longer available. So i went and checked the rankings and was still there, but wasnt in my character list. this is what im talking about.

Well, the best advice I can give you now is to either wait for Nexon to respond to your ticket or post a forum on Global MapleStory's Official Forums page to see if a similar problem has occurred to any other players.

Sounds like the typical Nexon ticket response. By "Hello, I am sorry to hear that you have experienced this issue." they mean "Oh, I guess we have to do another maintenance." By "I will be forwarding this information to be reviewed further." they mean "Huh, this is interesting, moving onto the next ticket."

By keeping an eye out on their website (or forums like I suggested) they're saying look for the next scheduled/unscheduled game maintenance; to be specific, you're looking for if they include in their maintenance "Fixing [back end errors, bugs, glitches]"
