A Shad is an explorer theif, whereas a NW is a KoC theif (Knight of Cygnus / Cygnus Knight). At the moment, after everytime you level, a NW receives an extra 10% already gained (so you only have to get 90% per level), whereas a Shad has to gain the full 100%. A Shad uses a dagger (theif weapon for a sword), whereas a NW uses a claw and throwing stars (theif weapon for a bow).
In my opinion, a NW would be easier to train, in many ways, compared to a Shad, but it costs more mesos to maintain a NW because of the constant recharging of its throwing stars. Though, myself personally, I would not make either of them, but if you want to make a UA, the fastest way to get one is either through a Mihile or a NW.
