Also, might be worth visiting their main website here: http://maplestory.nexon.net/landing as it's changed a lot plus has a nice, shiny new/returning player guide that has a ton of info.
Btw, the elf girl is Mercedes whom you can use to boost the exp gain of all other characters on a server through her link skill at level 70 plus she provides a passive cool-down on skills through your Legion. The pirate jobs are either Corsair or Buccaneer which also have links/legion boosts and are also interesting job classes as well but there are tons of others listed on the main MapleStory site you should check out!
Cool. Then I will probably remake that one first and slowly remake my other characters after I have the exp boost. I'll probably go Reboot. (I hope they don't shut it down like they did Maple 2!)
As far as the names.... Yeah, I kinda feel like I want to keep them.
I think my only other question is this: Back in the day, there was the attitude that only certain skills were worth having. If you put your points into a different combo, other players would say, "You messed up. Delete the character and start over." Is it still that way?
Thanks for all the help, players. I've been avoiding this for a long time, but now I'm feeling kinda psyched up about it. Can't wait to smack down some stumps and pigs again. I've played, literally, hundreds of games--of all kinds. But, sometimes, the simplest games are the most fun and relaxing. That's how I got addicted to clicker/idle games!
