Illegal program detected bug?

I keep getting this message despite me only running Discord, Steam, Maplestory itself, and Windows Edge. That's it. I'm afraid I'm going to eventually get banned like it says despite me doing absolutely nothing and not running any illegal programs.

Is anyone else getting this message despite being a completely honest and fair gamer?

don't worry you won't get banned for this this is a known bug in the game

It happens alot, and you wont get banned over it (unless you actually cheat, and even then it takes months). The Nexon anticheat detects Maple itself as an illegal program sometimes, and thats normally what gets you the warning (and sometimes a kick, but you can log right back in no worries).

I can verify this bug throwing out odd messages on me just the other day. Apparently it falsely detected my A/V, Steam, Firefox (Youtube for tunage), OBS, or maybe even my OS itself as those were legit the only other things running at the time. Now if you're running anything else then good luck because their detection has tightened recently and it's not something to mess around with. You can get perma-locked out of an account faster than you can sneeze these days.

by any chance were you anywhere near any NLC content? There is a known bug where the crimson forest and masteria through time mobs can trigger this.
