Why does this has region restriction...?

Because Steam recognizes that GMS is a North American company, therefore locks MS to North America.

But, why? There's a loads of NA games that has no region restrict, i can't see a reason for this

GMS, KMS, JMS, etc. are region locked because otherwise there would be too high of population on servers, causing stress to the server farms.

In addition, it gets rid of the language barrier since the majority of the players will have a common language, so you will unlikely see korean spam in the US.

Other reasons but yeah...

I've heard people say that if they get a North American IP Address and take their computers to a different location, the region locked MS will still be playable in that location.

I know that, you can do that with any region locked game...
But i'm too lazy to. lol
