Are there pets you can get without nx?

While eventually I'll buy one in the cash shop I'm wondering if there are free ones I can obtain through quests or grinding.

Yes, and my point was that you can only get pets through Events or the Cash Shop. However, I have recently learned that you can get a 90 day pet from a Hilla drop of any difficulty. The drop rate, however, is extremely low.

As I clearly explained you can get a sheep from ToT, and tot has been around for a while now, and as far as I know they don't plan to remove it

So no you can't only get a pet from events or cash shop, you can get a free pet from tot, which you can then use the water of life for, Just not in the reboot world...

Not only does tot give you a free pet, he also gives you a free mount, while they don't last a while, the point still stands this is another option.

Also I'm not trying to be rude at all, or mean, I just deal with info on a daily bases for a living and having correct and accurate info is very importiant in what I do

if someone says 'you can only get this these ways' when its incorrect, then it should be stated correctly, with any exclusions.

I'll just make a thread with a ton of starter info on it or a doku wiki or something.

Just because something is there and hasn't been taken away from a while doesn't mean it's not an event - at least not in my point of view. Zero has been brought back at least three times now and is considered an event-character. The legend classes have been available for a long period of time now, but they are considered event-characters.

I will admit, however, that Hilla is no longer an event-type boss, but now canon. I just have never known that she dropped a pet, so what I stated was blindly true.

My point is, what you think is true and false, doesn't necessarily mean that it is what I think is true and false, and definitely not always what is true or what is false.

Tot has been around for about a year+ now, with zero signs of being removed, it was created to walk new players though things and to teach them about the UI and what not,

Based on what it was designed to do, its safe to assume its going to stick around for a very very long time..

My issue with your statement was the fact you claimed something could not be gained unless from "list these things here"

ignoring the fact tot gives both a sheep and a mount, And its not a event thing. Tot is a function/feature.

Tot is like the maple admin in a sense, its a new feature/function that was created to help new players...

I been playing this game since beta/Pan lid days and off and on have playied though out the years.

Consider the fact that Tot is GMS exclusive. I base my facts off of what is in KMS, CMS, and JMS. Whatever we have versus what they have, I consider "event-like". So based off of his "facts," he may be considered correct by saying that Tot is not an event, while based off of my "facts," I am correct that Tot is an event.

He was taking my absolute response seriously. He claimed that Tot wasn't an event-type quest, so you could get a pet through a non event, which would make my statement false, since I said only through events or cash shop.

He supplied evidence for his argument, while I provided opinion with evidence with no source (because I was too lazy to look through hundreds of KMS updates while I knew that Tot wasn't in KMS) to support my statement.

no, That's not wrong. I got a perm pie pet from the cake vs pie a few years back. It is rare, but you can get them.

The quote you are quoting Stats "Tots quest chain" gives 1 free sheep, we're not talking about perm pets or such

Rather you can get perm pets as of current global maplestory patch I honestly don't know, or rather or not you can get perms in any other maplestory vers I don't know, as I only play global, and the steam forums for maplestory is for global players as well, (if you check the maplestory store page to the bottom right) you will notice it says "North America Nexon"

With that said, I have recently found out that tot gives you a few new things so I'll be kind and list them here

Tots Freebies!
Sheep Pet (Expires)
Rideable Yeti Mount (Expires)
Tots Damage skin (Perm Change the look of the damage numbers that float over enemys head)
Inventory Expansion (Perm for that char only, seems doable on each char?)
Tots badge (Perm, can throw away and get it from the medal book later if you want)
I think theirs more but I need to go though the new tots reward system.

3 days is nothing man, expect to go at least 2 months before seeing one, it's that rare.
