Heroic or Interactive
Hi all, I am quite new to Maple Story. Can anyone explain the difference between Heroic and Interactive? What is the most fun to play and does one have pros or cons to the other one? Thanks!

Heroic is MapleStory's Ironman if you're familiar with runescape. There is no trading and progression is tied to in game currencies.

Interactive is the server with trading and you can circumvent certain aspects of the grind by flat out paying for it via auction house.

Those are the major differences.
Heroic is where the broke players whose only option is to no-life play. Interactive allows trading, auction house, and p2w

^Heroic is f2p while interactive can be considered p2w. You can argue that interactive is more of no-life play if you don't plan on spending any money nor have any friends in game to help you progress. Its a harder grind in my opinion if your a solo player. In heroic the events and dailies can help you progress fairly quickly not needing to play every day or spending countless hours and still make decent progress. Also heroic tends to be more popular.

Heroic's Ironman MS without the party restriction with certain multipliers to make progression simple and painless. Interactive is traditional MS with the usual MMO privileges and some other buffs and enhancements exclusive to Interactive, but the grind is a pretty big slog without something like Burning or a prepared mule to fund your main (not sure if mid-game is the same way though unless you count the usual training and grinding. Finishing gear from Nlomien is the first step towards mid-game). This is why Heroic is so much more popular than Interactive
the difference is interactive players are upset seeing heroic players progress faster on a more popular server that lets you reasonably progress without p2w, it makes their money spent feel invalidated.
