maplestory startup or login crashes or something

im trying to play this game but every time i start the game up it goes through a super long loading screen then i get to choose my channel. well i choose and it says its connecting to server. then it goes to a black screen and crashes. and a little popup comes up and says "you have been dissconected from the log in server please try again later". ive tryed doing a couple things but nothing is working what do i do? was i one of the ones who were banned or something? i havent played this game in years nor has my account been used in years i dont see how this could have happend.

Just play through the website. Yes, I know, you have to redownload MS and uninstall MS on Steam, but it's that 99% sure fire way to play MapleStory now-a-days.

Alternatively, if you don't want to redownload MS, you can go to your Steam MS folder and play through the game launcher:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\MapleStory
Right click on GameLauncher.exe and make a "shortcut" to it. Put the short cut on your desktop.

This should allow you to play just fine, but every time you want to change characters, you need to enter your password for MS in.

is the fact that it doesnt take me to the log in screen have something to do with the problem? it just takes me strait to the choose the world and channel thing

nah its turns out i was one of the people who got randomly banned i started from the launcher and tryed to sign in but it said i was banned. that being said i havent played this game in 3 years and the last time i played it i wasnt banned. so i put in a ticket or w/e and hopefully they will see the mistake and unban me.
