Link nexon account to steam?

I've been having a lot of issues with the nexon launcher lately so i decided to switch over to steam to see if that'll fix anything. I was wondering if its possible to link my nexon launcher maplestory to my steam account, if yes how can i do it?

To my knowledge, there is not a simple means to connect an existing Nexon account to Steam; however, you could try contacting Nexon support and ask them directly by sending a support ticket and waiting for a response. I was forced to create a different account for Steam as it was a lot simpler (and much faster) than jumping through all the hoops. Maybe you will have better luck than I did? Please share any official response you get here as I'm certain others would like to know as well should you decide to send a ticket.

yup, i linked my nexon account to steam, i forget how but theres a button somewhere on steam page

Odd as I've never noticed a button on the Steam page before (aside from their site link) and it appears to have been down for maintenance 8/3/23 since 10am EDT/7am PDT/4pm CEST/12am AEST so roughly 3 mins prior to the time of your post (there's an "official" notice regarding this). Would you be so kind as to share a screenshot as I'm very interested in viewing said button as it may be something that's showing for some and not others which would be very suspicious & worrisome indeed.

Update: I located a help article on the customer support page that describes the "linking" process in detail available here: https://support-maplestory.nexon.net/hc/en-us/articles/360001457543-Linking-Nexon-and-Steam-Accounts. It's through the launcher itself and does indeed eliminate any confusion. Apologies as this was not the original method the launcher utilized when it was first available on the Steam platform (thankfully, it has been updated for ease of usage).
