Stuck in Phantom Forest- Is there an item that gives temporary invincibility?

Okay so this is gonna be hard to explain but my friend got stuck in New Leaf City and didn't have enough mesos to use the subway so I looked up a solution and some guy said to do this-

1. Talk to 'NLC Taxi' to go to the 'Phantom Forest'.
2. Walk to the right side of the 'Phantom Forest''s map, go into a portal at a tomb there.
3. Talk to 'Ridley', and now you are arrived at 'Henesys'! Congratulations!

Easy enough right? Well she's only level 31 and she's getting killed instantly by the ghosts there
We probably should have done more research about Phantom Forest before she went in there but we didn't think it would end up like this. The main problem is that when she dies it says it will teleport her to the nearest safe city but it just teleports her ontop of a tree in the forest.
Another issue is that anything she touches insta-kills her and theres a tree in front of the jeep thats supposed to take you back to the city and it kills her when she touches the tree. I'm a thief so I have a skill that gives me temporary invincibility so I can come and go as I please but I can't save her. I tried using a scroll but it just said "You cannot go there" I even tried to use a "return to Kerning City" scroll too but that didn't work either. Is there some item that gives temporary invincibility I can use on her? If I don't find a fix she'll have to stop using this character, and we've been playing for days and it's really depressing to have to start over.

There's a purple button below the minimap. Click on it, and you will be given choices on which maps to teleport to. Just pick one and try to get to the nearest town.
