also grandis would be epic, I hope they make it another 12 year long journey, because lets face it, we need more dragon people, they kinda abandoned the nova which made me a bit sad, it had potential, especially if we got to play the villian, with the kid who joined magnus who was kaisers friend.

Gerald darmoor (the new main villain) has been spoken about for a few years now, he's the next big baddie and for how things seem, he's even worse than black mage because:

1.He's the trascendent of life itself, unlike black mage who was light.

2.(And the most important) Black mage WAS SEALED during most part of the lore, where Darmoor has been conquering solar systems, causing mass genocide and slaving entire species.

isnt gerald the black mage? I thought that was the case, he was light, and then stole life and time and became the black mage. but as far as I can tell the seal along with the fact that the transcendants cant use eachothers power, without damaging themselves caused him to split into the sealed black mage and the white mage (seoul in friendstory) and created the dimensional portal.

at least thats how i understood it.

No, Gerald is the prince of the high flora in grandis, he's also transcendent of life in grandis, Gerald has also stole grandis time transcendent powers (Just like Black mage did with rhyne), however, black mage also stole Grandis light transcendent powers (Which was Tana) during the end of the esfera storyline.

Friendstory's White Mage was the exact same black mage, simply manifesting his power in that form to create yet another dimensional portal (Now having 2 portals, Maple > grandis, and, Maple > real world)

Luminous is black mage's light side, which can never be truly dissappear (although, it can be tainted)

Black mage never obtained alicia's power (The transcendent of life from maple world) because she decided to leave her physical form during the final act of Heroes of maple (Where in fact, Damien became Transcendent of life even if it was for a short while)

Oh okay i see thanks for clearing that up, sometimes maple can be confusing with the sheer amount of dimensional similarities. every dimension having a life time light trancendant etc. and a similar threat to them and such, kinda clouds who is who sometimes. so this begs the question then,

WHO in name, is black mage? and who is white mage for that matter? we know darmoor is simply gerald darmoor. but what are the names of the mages.
