At what point is it benefitial to party up?

I was training from 87-100 with my buddy at Roids, i being a cannoneer and him being a dawn warrior some days ago.

When we reached lvl 100, we both just kind of sat there exhausted, wondering why we even went to party in the first place as we would've leveled up way quicker separately, despite the extra party bonus exp.

We then tried to level up at blood harps from lvl 100-110, each level switching between partying up and changing channels to level alone.

Here, it seemed to be just about the same, because killing them alone was slow as they were tanky, so killing them together, while making that quicker, still halves the exp, and the party bonus still didn't seem to add up.

Because we're very good friends we don't entirely mind sacrificing our time to spend together, but what about other people? Would it only ever be worth my time to party up with someone if they're a kanna or a bishop, or maybe a phantom with holy symbol? In that case, is it not better to just have them party up, give me a holy symbol, and then leave party? In terms of Kanna she can just take half the map, and you take the other half.

When would you want to play together to at which point it benefits both of you? Right now it's looking very discouraging.

Discard the exceptional maps that reward party play greater than normally, like Sahel 2 (Even though i haven't noticed much difference there either)

Simple answer: 1-100 and 165-250. However, training solo from 1-100 is equally fast.

At about 170 its more worth it to party than not for xp gain.... And a Kanna/Bishop would always have trouble taking half a map, itd be better for both of you to just stay in a party.
