So im lv189 now and have found out a few things. Since no one does empress these days, no one will really go with me to do it and get better gear. Currently im using a mix of the lv100 frozen gear from the current burning event, pensilar, wings of fate, 7 boss set items (ht/cht pendant, letter eye accessory, power crystal, pink grail, clover belt, magnus shoulder), ghost ship badge

I cant really figure out where to go from here. Unless i get a hellux/hmag/cra carry i dont see any way i can get better gear. What should i do?

It was a question that was relevant, because item meta difers from reboot and regular servers, now, if you're in reboot, then you might have heard of "Necro meta" this is, pretty much getting Necro gear from fighting hilla, this gear has a special advantage, which is that it's part of a boss set, which makes flames be overall stronger or to have more flame lines (if you don't know what flames are, i sadly have to tell you to google them or look for them in youtube), however, since you have Frozen set, this means you don't need most of the Necro items, just gloves and Shoes, good flames are hard to get but not impossible, some results i've had in the past weeks are +86 str flames on my hero's necro gloves, also you can get 6% all stat as a flame bonus, it really boosts your damage by a lot.

Next are wings of fate, now, this item is really good, however, there's a way to farm them (more like, farm good flames) just throw them away and ask the tengu to give you another pair, these will have different flames AND it can be repeated as much as you want, since it's a Japanese item, the BEST it can get it's 4% all stat (extremely rare, i don't know what's the max it can get as flat bonus)

You don't seem to have any ring, i recommend doing hieizan dungeon to get Kanna ring and hayato shoulder, Kanna ring is BiS, which means it's an endgame ring, Hayato shoulder it's really good too, being the best shoulder armor until you can get Absolab, you should also go for Reinforced gollux ring or solid gollux ring to cover the other 2 slots, while the 3rd slot should be used with ht ring (silver blossom ring) and for earrings go for superior gollux.

You could also farm the accesories from zakum, since sometimes they have really strong flames (i had gotten 6% all stat and 40+ flat stat boost).

Make sure to starforce all your gear to 10 or even 12, you should also consider a Kanna mule for meso farming, to ease a lot your needs for meso.

As a last question, what's your job?

Oh yeah, some people use von leon cape since it can get actually good flames, which outscale wings of face at a certain point.

Alright, so i dont know exactly what flames are but based on item decriptions and what iv seen in gear i think i know what youre talking about. Sadly i cant afford to throw out my wings since they offer me 6% dex and id easily lose 25k range. Im also working towards superior gollux ring now, im at 86 coins (i get a daily hard gollux carry)

I forgot about the kanna and hayato stuff. It was such a huge pain 2 years ago when i did that but if its best in game, i sorta have to do it :P

Also i didnt know necro beat out pensilar. The equips are easy enough to get, ill just have to try tomorrow

Iv been trying for Silver Blossom ring for a while now without luck :/

Also all my gear is 10 star, with a few 11 and one 12. Im too poor to try any more because iv been buying circulators to get a legendary inner (currently unique with +21att being my only good line)

Even still, despite all this, would it really help in the end? I feel like id still need a carry if i ever want to get anywhere even if i got everything you said

It depends, if you want carry based progression (and if you can get the actual carries) then just wear w/e you want, if you're going for a more self earned progression, then yes, that will be a huge help for bossing parties, i also suggest you watching this video (more like, just read description for spreadsheet)

To see what's the best IA for your class, to get to legendary you HAVE to use circulators...well you don't really have to, but using only honor exp it's a really risky way to do so.

As a last note, Stat is a better indicator for progression, since classes have different ranges and work differently, stat is a lot more solid when it comes to show off overall progression.

I mean the problem is i have next to no friends ingame, nor can i even find a carry since no one will do carries for people outside their guilds, and most guilds have requirements i dont meet

Iv taken to black cubing my ghost ship badge too, since its the only piece of equip i have that has no better alternative. All my gear has %dex (3% on rares, 6%'s on epics, and 9% on my 1 unique. My class item also adds 9% damage but not %dex)

So i guess on my list is to do the kanna ring quest, Get more money (im already 12 circulators in, the 2 ingame friends i have say im very unlucky to not be legendary yet), and cube the crap out of everything thats worth keeping forever

Exactly how hard would it be to even find carries. Even normal/easy cygnas carries would help me since im pretty sure emp gear beats out pensilar/frozen/necro. Iv been playing this game for 10 years and iv never really experienced true endgame because this is the wall i hit every time i play

Well, Empress gear is not that good, mostly because it takes way too long to get on reboot, while in regular servers it's the best 140 gear (and also a cheaper alternative to cra) in reboot it's just not viable at all.

You're also not anywhere close to endgame sadly, you're not even out of early game, sorry to inform it but it's the truth.

Now, talking about cubing, the best thing you can do is to cube your seconday weapon for %att, %IED (ignore defense) or %boss, depending on whatever you could need, emblem and badge are not BiS but since the BiS gear for those slots it's event only, it's ok to cube them to unique or even legendary for the case of emblem.

Ok so my secondary is good then, because i do have %att (and %crit damage)

God all of this is so confusing, but i think a big bonus i can work on that i forgot was a thing is link skills. My AB is my only character, so i have none of that fancy stuff that could help a lot from anything

Its also a shame im still so far behind. Its all pretty overwhelming when i see how long the road ahead is. Sweetwater is so rare i figure its better to just skip it entirely. My friend claims to have a cra carry for us but im skeptical since anyone iv asked says they only do it for their guilds, and their guilds already require you to be X level and have X gear to be X good. It all feels like its just extremely difficult to get anywhere past this wall

also, as for IED, including Trinitys hyper passive of 20% ignore, and with my temporary 20% ignore buff, i can hit 100% (84% otherwise)

IED works on a multiplicative way, not additive, that means that if you're at 84% IED, the extra 20% will put you somewhere around 87 ~ 89%, and with another 20% from buff, i think it puts you somewhere between 91% and 93%, being 93% the optimal amount.

Sweetwater equips are out of the meta, mostly, the only ones worth mentioning are the face and eye accessories, which after 17* of starforce they become amazingly good.

If your friends offer carries, just take it, at least i when was offering carries to people in my buddy list it was because no one in my guild needed it, maybe that's why your friends offer you the carries.

Guilds usually ask people to have certain level because otherwise they suspect they are mules, i've not heard of a guild that asks gear or certain amount of stat to be part of (unless they do it jokingly)

I was turned down by 2 guilds because they said my gear was ass. And i mean its not terrible but i should probably have better stuff

As for the carry, if it is even a thing, how exactly do you get CRA gear

Because the threads iv read suggest you can get it all in one run but that seems too good to be true. Theres those boxes and its probably another lotto system and would take many tries to get it all right?

Cra gear (similar to empress gear) is obtained through shards dropped by the boss (or by some box, in the case of cra), in CRA each boss drops individual pieces, (That is, each boss drops pieces for a certain part of the set, such as queen dropping pieces for hat and clown for top armor) each armor part requires 5 pieces, which is really easy to get, bosses often drop 10 pieces (NOTE: DO NOT HIT THE BOX IF YOU'RE GETTING CARRIED, the box is affected by drop rate, let your friends equip their drop gear to make you have better luck)

After all this, this is why cra armor can be obtained in a single CRA run, except weapon, weapon has the same mechanic, however, there's 2 reasons of why they might not carry you for that, or of why takes a lot longer to get:
1. Chaos vellum is on a complete different league than the other 3, soloing him means that you can actually be part of even harder boss fights, such as lotus/damien.
2. Weapon requires 15 pieces, and vellum usually drops 7 ~ 13, getting 15 in a single run is sometimes thought to not be possible but i think a few people has gottem.

And yeah, Frozen gear is often assosiated to Mules, sorry to hear that.

As a last note, if you die in CRA, stay dead for as long as the timer lets you (There's a timer that auto revives you) and make sure to hit each boss at least once.

And since empress works on the same system, that's why empress gear is not good to get, she drops around 8 pieces for armor and like 5 for weapon, taking weeks to get a full set, whereas, CRA/pensalir/Necro only takes a day.

And that makes sense. The guide i read never said anything about shards, they said coins so i assumed it was referring to the same blue coins for boxes. I also never heard chaos vellum was leages harder than the others. but even still, with just the armor ill certainly get a superb boost to everything

It sucks feeling this suffocated in terms f progression though. I dont feel like i can contribute to anything, and that carries will be all i ever know. I really want to participate in Lucid once, as an equal and not a carry

Well, empress gear was changed overall, same with cra gear, it's just that in regular servers you can simply do empress weekly on main, get shards (which are untradable), trade for gear (which is tradable..but reboot has no trade) and give to mule.

Well, you're waaay too far away from lucid, like, don't even worry about her for a long while, don't worry about progression right now, focus on getting to 200, then start getting gear, Lucid parties also don't tend to Actually carry people in reboot, since she's such a tough boss, even the people they're "Carrying" needs a minimum to be able to be accepted.
