Game Not LAunching

I'm not sure what's happening. I've tried redownloading, but it keeps not launching. the Nexon Game Security logo will appear in the corner of my screen and Steam says its running for about 30 seconds after that, but nothing happens...

Having this exact same issue, went into the steam folder and tried launching the maple story GameLauncher as admin and still have the same result. I have reverified the cache and it redownloaded two files to no avail. please help

Im having the same issue. Tried to launch game and it says "Need to launch from Steam" and I am.

me too. same issues. tried everything but nothings working. dropped so much money on this game and cant even play. this is just making me angry

Same. Not sure what the problem is because the security thing just opens and closes and that popup window goes away and steam says it's not running anymore...

This has been a problem for me for months. Why the hell are they not addressing this?

They dont pay attention to the steam forums, you will have to go to the main forums or the tech support to have any chance of a fix.

I was able to fix my problem. Apparently my new monitor couldn't run maplestory's full screen resolution. So i switched to my old monitor, made it windowed mode, and switched back to my new monitor and now it starts again. Just sucks that I have to play windowed mode but at least i get to play now.

Well, I fixed my problem. I closed overwolf (not related?) and closed the Steam client (right-click -> exit from tray icon) and reopened it. Worked fine after that. Betting it's a problem with Steam as I do have to restart Steam sometimes for varying completely different problems that seemed to be tied to watching other people's streams through Steam.
