What profession should i choose and why?

What about for my main which ones.

I usually go herbalism + alchemy and mining + jewel crafting
Alchemy for the item crystals and jewel crafting for cubes and what-not.

i went with mining + smithing, not sure what i should pick for last, i thought smithing makes cubes or whats good that i can make.

If you are on reboot, you can freely chose all professions (since theres no trading between players). If you arent on reboot, you should have mining and whichever the picking plants one is (herbalism?) as well as one of the 3 crafting skills. Then you can always put another one of the three on a different toon you play more often (or a bank toon if you dont craft often). This allows you to get stuff for any type of crafting much easier.

People should realize that you can get both mining and herbalism as well as alchemy and either smithing or jewel crafting on one character.
