Full guide updated

Finally finished updating my full guide with all DLC content:

Been a much smoother experience replaying this compared to closer to release.
Info bank is feature I sure loved the most, allowed me to comfortably add a lot of sections I previously chose to skip.

Loads - pirate fleet leaders stuff, all discoveries, all ships, all blueprints, loads of small changes in almost each section, EVERYTHING.

I was reading through your guide and i got to the part where you were describing recruiting Yoshitaka. You said there's no special equips for repairing. that's not true. All the shipbuilding equipment doubles as repair equipment. They all increase both stats. If I remember right the equipment shop on Japan sells one of them.

This. Special equipment pieces are the only ones that matter when describing best in slot allies.

Does this mean that it can only be found when playing as Fiona?

No, it means it doesn't exist before you get the DLC, not that you must play as Fiona to get it.

Welp, having trouble finding it and I do have the DLC.

Edit: I feel very stupid now. Just realised there was a section in the FAQ that shows how to get this. :facepalm:

Most of the tricky discoveries lead you to bernard's gifts section where aside of that quest I also put all the non CG tricky stuff, yeah :)

do you have guys have problem to find special crow's nest? it needed to build ship of the line (sotl) . I have checked some walkthrough and they said to build sotl is with lime, and not special crow nest.
before i bought Fiona DLC, i have finished Yoshitaka, Yun Mu and Abdullah story. then i played andrew (finished his story) and found this problem. i cant found any port that sell special crow's nest, and i have fully upgraded every port (especially port with ship material shop).
the only one i found is when i trade with other fleet around Jakarta port (mini quest with icon mark, not usual negotiation). i have lucky with that one and got rare sotl to fight ghost ship.

then i played Fiona (finished her story) and found this problem again.

any one have suggestion? thank you

Maybe reqs changed over time. That part of info might be outdated since I wrote it near release of the game.
The new guild suggestion is pretty much Reykjavik port.

Best port to get all materials is Reykjavik as Fiona MC basically. It should sell or allow you to craft every single part for almost all the ships.
Minus a few common things from other ports.

I wouldn't really bother getting all ships on any other character - too hard in comparison.

If your goal is to simply get something powerful - some randomly captured ship of the line will also be able to beat everything in the game solo.

I just checked ... the store at Plymouth has Special Crow's Nest.
