If you can drill dive instead, most of the time that's gonna be more efficient.
The best track to practice them is 2 dimensions.
Also on a sliding machine you basically always want to hyper slide when you can. Even if it's a very very shallow angle over otherwise straight boost pads.
But the overall game is balanced without this technique in mind.
Is it how much speed it generates, how long the purple vfx lasts, or some sort of mix that just "improves your stats" like what final burn does?
Like, you know, in the sense that there must be a tangible reason why you wouldn't usually go for hyper slides as Constance for example.
You can hyperslide for as long as you've got room to do it and boost to keep it going on any machine.
