It sounds like a great idea doesn't it? A fun take on the stale MMORPG market.

Let me tell you right now, that if you have not played this game, save yourself sometime. Unless you have a kid about 7 then they may enjoy it.

You wait ages to get into a game. Then your team bails on you. Nobody knows what they are meant to be doing, costs money to cast spells or do anything. Idiotic game, with pre-school style graphics, and music. Biggest load of crap I have wasted my time on in an age.

If you actually like this game, and are at least a teenager, then what did you like about it?

It is a total mess. Download a proper free2play if that is going to be your counter arguement and have some proper fun.

Did I like it? No. I nearly gave it the dread 1/10, but have yet to see a game so bad. This though comes in at a terrible 2/10. It will take you a long time to find a worse game. Actually, if you do, could you tell me of it, as I would be curious to see it. That is a serious request incidentally.

The reason no one knows what to do is because it has you play in PvP before you get a chance to run through the tutorial. Give that a shot then try it once you know what to do.
I knew what to do, and even if I were the world's best player it would not detract from the rank stench that wafts from this giant, steaming turd. Oh and for your information, the tutorial hardly ever works, click yes to run through the map and you more often or not find yourself in queue for a game.
Oh and btw Ubernerd. Out of curiousity I checked out some of your games, and you have some decent titles there. Why you are defending this junk is beyond me. You got Torchlight II and that's an excellent game, way better than this. You bored of that or something? Btw have you tried Dofus (this is not as you think I am meaning) it's got that cutesy look you like in games, and is a very decent game.
I played Dofus way back in the day... wasnt enough "meat and potatoes" for me in that game... but yeah its whimsy and cutesy look may appeal to some
Aye, that was why I thouht she might like it.
Yep horrible game poor controls, just poor everything.. Played 12 mins uninstalled.. Don't bother.
Another reason to not install? It's OLD. It's 5 years old. WTF steam, why would you put an ancient game that nobody even plays anymore? As a matter of fact, it's SO old, THERE IS NO SITE. It's also one of the worst kinds of F2P anyone could make, and that's the kind where everything but like one class and its basic loadout is pay-to-use. I tried it way back when it was in BETA, and even then, only french people or something played it. So not worth it, valve needs to remove this piece of crap.
It's true, the game is so choppy and the controls & camera are so weird, I can't tell if it's horrible or if I'm just getting old. I mean I had that reaction to Madballs in Babo and that turned out to be a great game, but this... everything is so big, and the artwork looks like that remake of Haunted House. I don't think I've ever felt so dirty after playing a game. What the hell were they thinking?
Seems weird to put this on steam.
Yeah and I thought titles had to be greenlighted or something by the players first?
Not all, but nobody I know knows how that works. Some titles must be greenlighted, others not...

Greenlight is for games that have either been rejected for some reason or else don't have a dev/publisher with the clout to get it on Steam. Cyanide already has several games on Steam. Furthermore, this isn't the only old MMO rereleased on Steam, look at Everquest, Conan, Spiral Knights, etc... Putting it on Steam gives the community a player injection as people try it out.

Difference being the games you mentioned were classics in their day, and atill are celebrated as pioneers to their genre. Everquest was around when WoW was but a twinkle in your daddy's eye, and the likes of Conan, well they tried to push whar was possible. All I'm saying is that you can hardly compare the senseless drivel of Dungeon Party to MMORPG's who have had millions of paying subscriptors over the years.

Also do you really think that is why games get put on steam? To bring back customers? In a way yeas, but in reality, we are now in a digital age where we buy everything from games, music, ever our groceries online. Steam is one of the premier sites, with a lot of sway. They go up to Funcom, tell them that they'll raise their player base, with a large chunk for Steam, and hey presto. Funcom cannot compete to market an MMORPG like AoC against Steam. So it makes sense. Now Funcom are happy as their f2play model is making money with all the new players, and Steam is happy because it is growing its monopoly of the market,
I play this game with my gf but i've seen worse games here at steam..
If it was just you really would you play it?
