Just please, make sure your GPU stays below 80% use in all stages to have some headroom for more intense effects (depth of field absolutely destroys framerate for example).

Otherwise if you don't want to do supersampling or any of that, you can tweak graphics settings in-game and reset those by deleting the config file if needed.

^^ This. I am not a computer wiz by any means, but I was able to use this guide no problem.
I left the in-game resolution at default 90% btw. My Nvidia/intel laptop did not like 100%
