Dedicated Server Fix

Hey guys. We've looked into it and it seems that after the Steam update, it's now a requirement that you're logged into your Steam client while running a dedicated server.

Yep, login to steam first. Then start the server

This is only a quickfix untill Steam brings out a new update?

Hopefully. If it makes matters easier, you don't have to log into a Steam Account that owns Primal Carnage to run a server.

Hey there, I downloaded the server files from steam, changed the config file to my server name, and added a password. But whenever I start the server it bring up the FRONT END screen, I fill in those options, but it only pops up a blank box with a cursor flashing. Does anyone know what I'm missing here? Or do you have a detailed description of how to set up a server? Thank you ;)

Whats the APPID for those of us who want to install this without Steam Client? I run all my servers with SteamCMD and was trying to locate the APPID to install it but can't find it. I tried 224620 which looks like it but it's not working. Thanks.

Looks like the APPID is: 215470 from the:

D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\primal_carnage_server\Binaries\Win32\steam_appid.txt

However, I'm trying to install it like:

@echo off
start "" steamcmd.exe +login anonymous +force_install_dir "D:\Servers\Primal" +app_update 215470 validate +quit

and it's failing. I'm pretty good with running dedicated servers, however this seems to have me stumped. Lol. Any help would be great.
