Hi all,

I have decided to no longer work on this game.
What was meant to be a small update to my older game grew to be quite an undertaking.

The game is in a playable state, but I'm just not satisfied with it - and for that to change, I would have to work longer than I can allow myself at this point.

So I had to make this decision. A little sad, but that happens, I guess.
I am planning to de-list the game soon.

Demo update! Version 5.0.0: New Jeans

Hello all,

Steam Next Fest is about to start and I have an update for the demo!

- Updated store assets. New jeans, yo!
- Rebalanced enemy stats: Less resistance, less damage, more fun.
- Rarity 1, 2, and 3 enemies were renamed to Magi, Archmagi, and Demigods.
- Gods and demigods no longer spawn in low-level worlds. Gotta protect the new player's sanity!
- The odds of god being in a world changed from 1 in 1000 rarity to 1 in 50. They actually exist now.
- Visual changes: Graphics are now smoother, moving away from a pixelated look.
- Character animations and visuals update.
- Weapon visual update. Loot is now +20% more colorful!
- There is now a chance to get higher rarity items from lower rarity sources. Big change!
- Slightly decreased the odds of generating silver instead of equipment. Literally more loot!
- Now selling higher rarity items gives more silver. As it should be.
- New level cap: 33, a.k.a. twin triad. Beyond the Gate is cool like that.
- Items now have "Quality" in their tooltips. Indicates how good the stat rolls on the item were.
- Quests! Basically achievements. Should help indicate what content the game has.
- Movement speed is increased again.
- Better item names. More of this to come.
- Weapons are now faster on average.
- Dozens of tiny fixes and improvements.
...

So yeah, the game is much better now if I say so myself!

A lot of good things are still on the to-do list, so please give the game a wishlist!

More content: More world variety, more equipment assets, different attacks based on weapons, new enemy types, etc.!
Improved balance: Easier in the early game, harder in the late game, fewer 'random' deaths.
Improved world list: 'Favorite' worlds to save your favorite farming locations! Also more information about visited worlds.
Survival mode: Survive the onslaught of Colors Grand for grand loot!
Visual improvements: A number of changes to make the game look prettier!
Loot improvements: Better item abilities, more item abilities on items, better balance.
Structures: Find lost arcane contraptions to further customize your items. Recolor, rename, re-roll stats, and more!
Technical improvements: More settings options, bug and exploit fixes, and new control schemes.

Happy new year!

Hey all,

Happy new year! It is a good time to make an update on the game's development!
Since I am working full-time on a different project of mine, progress isn't fast.

But I've still done quite a bit from when I launched the Steam page.

2 out of 8 planned story quests have been implemented, the dialogue system is shaping up nicely, and there's a quest log UI now.

Hoping to do much more work in January as I am preparing for the Steam Next Fest this February.
After the Next Fest, it will be the time for BTG to launch!
