Help! Can't Read Crumpled Note

I'm stuck in the game because I am unable to read the crumpled note given to me by the mysterious man in the Orc camp. I have gone back to previous saves and tediously played through shooting the arrows all over again to see if I could get past that point, but every time the man hands me the note, I am unable to read it, look at it, examine it, hand it to anyone or do anything with it. Is it possible to load saved games from someone else using Steam? How do I play on if that is not possible? Thanks!!

I'm stuck with the same problem. Unable to read the crumpled note and everytime I ask to play the merchant's game I answer no. How do I play the merchants game to get the magic stone?

I had this same problem. You have to right-click on the note.

xD ahahah... that`s right.
Left click to interact, right click to look at stuff. And sometimes all you have to do is look...
