Help choosing a class
I've been looking at this game since a few years, but now that the subs are gone i'm really getting interested about it...so...i have to choose my class.
Issue is: I'm very bad at doing that, if left alone i couldn't decide even after two months. (Gw2 knows, took me over 1 year and a half to choose)

Ok,so,here's what i need,like and dislike:

-Needs
Complexity: If i must do the same thing over and over mindlessy, it's not the right class.

-Likings
Able to solo: i'll be lucky if one of my friends plays with me...
Being versatile: i should not be blocked from content and there must not be a "you lost regardless" situation.
Evading attacks: i prefer not being hit than tanking hits.
Mobility: i prefer changing my position often rather than staying put.
AoE or low cost single target abilities: i prefer being able to hit multiple enemies.
Heals: of lower importance, i think it's important to sustain at least a little middle-fight.
Summons: i like them, but i don't like being forced to use them.

-Dislikings
Being crippled: being kited around isn't fun, i'd want such fact to happen the least possible.
Class having un-viable skills or builds: it makes me mad to know i'll never or almost never use some of my available abilities.
Setting ups: While i do like to be tactical, i don't really like having to setup my damage dealing abilities (for example, having to catch osa's mobs or waiting for things to activate)

With that said, here's my initial overview of possible picks:

-Pandawa: Has mobility, looks versatile, has AoE, can heal a little, has a utility summon. However i see pandawa's earth tree very underwhelming.

-Feca: Has teleports, is versatile, has AoE, non-destructible summons. But is limited by opponent's mobility.

-Sram: Really evasive, like being able to stealth, can heal a little and can summon a clone. Very weak against tanks and i believe the stealth mechanic is countered by numerous enemies.

-Maskies (keep failing the name so i just call them like that): Alot of mobility, has dodge bonuses (but i believe they aren't the dodges i mean?), can heal, can summon a clone and have wakfu generation(!). Unluckily it seems a little too mindless for me.

-Ecas: I don't really like the rng and they look like they have some useless abilities, but they do have mobility, minor summons, can heal.

-Xelor: Not a fan of mummies, but they have nice mobility, must deal with the ticks and tocks and look somewhat complex.

-Eniripsa: Could go healing for teams or air when solo, not sure about it.

-Rogue: Bombs look fun... :3

The others aren't that appealing to me at the moment, but they could sure be.

Hope somebody experienced can clear my mind. :)

This game is alt-friendly. Your second alt gets x2 exprience, third gets x3, etc. until they've reached the level of your highest character.

Try a few. Getting them up to lvl 20 will be easy, and that's enough to unlock all moves and get the feel for a class.
You should try a sadida. Its able to heal, shield, poisen, summon many dolls. Its dmg is not at the top but it is the most versatile class in the game.

Sram could a be a good class for you
Often my turns are different from one another depending on the situation.
They have a few aoe spells, water has a self healing spell, can summon a double and is overall incredibly mobile.
However you do have to build up weakpoints before bloody ripoff / trauma / execution become note worthy

I'm a rogue and at first I didn't care for the fire path and went and played with all of the paths. Then I heard about the "firewall" whic is basically a huge AoE surrounding 3 adjacent bombs. I thought it was awesome. Now I plan on making either an Earth/Fire or pure Fire.
Earth has great range and Fire is devestating now that I look at it. Air is so-so, but it's more for tactical use than a straight path. You'll probably be taking Rogery or Boomerang Dagger out if you go hybrid. With one of the other 2 paths for leverage.
i just started and so far i have been doing fine solo with the Foggernaut with the help of the free sidekick you get from the starting questline. Foggernauts are quite versatile when going earth/fire build with long range single target and aoe attacsk including close range single target and aoe attacks. Stasis build provides HUGE amounts of damage with single target and aoe attacks. Foggernauts also can create wall/ rails/ and robots which are supposed to be very good in pvp and endgame pve. once you start to get into the higher level(not sure when) they start to aquire tanky passives that make reliable tanks.

You want to go with Xelor or Foggernaut. Both are probably the most complex classes in this game. The Xelor requires you to plan ahead, watching for how far your enemies move, making sure you don't end your turn in the wrong spot, manipulating AP, etc. You can go for the classic glass cannon (water/fire) build, the AP manipulation (just water) build, or the battlefield controller (water/air) build.

The Foggernaut, well, the comment above this one gives a concise overview of the class.
Sorry for the delayed response, i've been trying pandawa, eni and feca.
Results are that pandawa's earth tree looks really bad.
Eni's damage is way too low.
Feca's just terribly bad (for me), by that i mean that when combo'ing the obvious combos available very early in the game, the results are equal or worse compared to other classes'.

I doubt sadida requires careful thinking, as i've seen a few (kinda old tho) videos and they all were about cycling the same seed+trigger seed+spare AP+move iteration.

As for the rogue's fire wall, it's just three bombs next to each other isn't it? *shrugs*

Thus, my plan right now is to try xelor then fogger, then the other twos. Back to the tutorial! (As starting the game as level 1 would be a suicide lol)

it's not suicide to skip the tutorial. use the free trial companion. level 4 on your first cat fight

Ty, i didn't notice!

By the way, tried the xelor and it didn't impress me, tried the sram and i loved it.

So yeah, sram all the way! :D
